The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. is slated to open Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale.

The bagels and coffee restaurant plans to open a two-story, 4,800-square-foot eatery at 601 SE Third Ave., across from the Broward County Public Schools building.

Brooklyn Water Bagel replicates the composition of water that flows into Brooklyn homes and uses it as a key ingredient in its bagels, soups, sauces, coffee and other menu items. New York City water is well known for its high quality.

Brooklyn Water Bagel's menu includes salads, muffins and sandwiches.

The first Brooklyn Water Bagel opened in Delray Beach in 2009, and it now has more than 20 locations nationwide.
