New Building in Fort Lauderdale will House Furniture Retailer

Construction crews have began building a 3-story building just south of Broward Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the future home of a furniture retailer.

The 36,000-square-foot building is expected to be completed by fall and feature 45-foot tall undulating glass walls, according to the project's architectural firm, Adache Group Architects of Fort Lauderdale.

Adache said it could not release the name of the retailer that will occupy the building.

The project at 105 N. Federal Highway is dubbed 105 North and is estimated to cost $4.1 million, according to documents filed with Fort Lauderdale's Development Review Committee.

Happy Land FL LLC is registered as the property's owner, but the company could not be reached for comment.
