Dania Beach Land Trades for $29 Million

Developers assembling land for a massive shopping plaza in Dania Beach have paid $29 million for four parcels that house part of the Boomers entertainment complex, public records show.

Aventura-based Master Development, the Kimco real estate investment trust and Salzman Real Estate Advisors are buying 100 acres to build DaniaLive Marketplace, a 1.3 million-square-foot "open air" shopping center that would include big-box stores, restaurants, a hotel and apartments.

To make way for the project, developers next year plan to tear down the wooden roller coaster that sits along Interstate 95 near the northbound Stirling Road exit.

The roller coaster is next to Boomers, which remains open.
