South Florida, we're finally getting our own Wawa—actually, we're getting 120 of them.

The Pennsylvania-based convenience store chain is known for its loyal fan base (think Trader Joe's obsession level, if not greater) and beloved for its coffee and made-to-order hoagies.

Wawa announced its plans for expansion in the Southeast Florida market Monday. The company expects to open 120 total locations over time, which would add an estimated 3,000 new jobs, according to a Wawa representative.

“It’s hard to believe just three years ago we were opening our first store in Orlando, and now we have more than 70 Florida locations," Wawa President and CEO Chris Gheysens said in a release. "We can’t wait to begin to fulfilling customers’ lives in Southeast Florida."

Wawa hopes to break ground in Broward and Palm Beach counties in 2016 and in Miami-Dade County in 2017, a Wawa rep told Fort Lauderdale Daily. So far, locations in Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach and West Palm Beach have been reported.

A Fort Lauderdale store has been proposed for the intersection of Cypress Creek and Powerline roads.

With most of its stores located throughout the Northeast, Wawa has more than 700 locations total—450 of them are also gas stations. It first expanded to Central Florida in 2012.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Gheysens has said the number of northern transplants in South Florida who would be familiar with the Wawa brand make the region ideal for Wawa's expansion.
